We have a walker!!

Thanksgiving weekend, Jake started taking a couple steps and then would fall. Then on Monday, he was taking about 4 steps. Yesterday, he took about 10 steps and didn't even fall! Today, he is on a roll and is walking here and there and having a ball. We are so proud of him and so excited for him!

Beautiful snow

It snowed today and it was beautiful! I tried to take some pics of Jake in the snow but it was tough since it wasn't really sticking to the ground. But it was fun and we enjoyed it while it lasted!

Hiking

We have been eager to try out our hiking back pack thing with Jake and ventured out on a beautiful day for a hike! We didn't get to go to the trails we intended b/c of muddy conditions so ended up at a local park and "pretended" we were hiking. Jake did really well in the carrier!

Fun at Adrien's party

Our sweet friend, Adrien, had his second birthday party at a place called, Abbey's Play town. He had a blast! There was so much to do and so many friends to play with.

Jake's 1st Pony ride

We were invited to Drake's 1st birthday party and Jake got to go on his first pony ride! He wasn't so crazy about it and it didn't last very long...but at least he tried!

Jake's birthday weekend

Jake's grandparents and uncle Mike came out to spend time with us and celebrate Jake's 1st birthday. He got a new chair with his name on it that he loves sliding down. Here are some more successful cake eating pics on his real birthday, November 4th.

Jake's 1st B-day party

We celebrated our sweet Jacob's 1st Birthday at Veterans Park with our wonderful family and fabulous friends. We made pulled pork sandwiches, mac 'n cheese, hot dogs, and side dishes to eat. Some of the adults played cornhole and the kiddos had bubbles, coloring books, balls, and toys to play with. Our friend Katie, made Jake his "smash cake" but there wasn't a lot of smashing going on. He stuck his finger in the cake and that was about it! He just wasn't crazy about having the icing all over his fingers...or maybe he was kinda freaked out by everyone staring at him and waiting for him to eat. It was a great time and we were thankful for everyone coming out! I just can't believe he is already a 1year old!!

Mud Run 2009

Phil competed in the annual Mud Run with some buddies again this year. They were missing a team mate so they were unable to compete, but they still did great and definitely looked great! :)
